One of the main reasons for developing InformationLeader version 5 was to make use of some of the newer features that modern technology platforms are able to offer. One of these is Microsoft’s SQL Server software. Versions from 2008 onwards now allow us to implement one of our most requested features – Full Text search.
In summary, users are now able to search for a document not just via keywords and document names/codes, but also the document’s contents! New functionality allows us to rapidly scan through every document on your system and return all the documents that you have uploaded into the system for words or phrases that you search for.
The functionality is available from both the fully featured ‘Search Documents’ area or from the ‘Quick Search’ function. ‘Quick Search’ is now also available from the Forms module, giving you its functionality across all the templates in the system you have access to.
